daily devootional from : Jeremiah 46
Do not fear, O Jacob my servant,
for I am with you," declares the LORD.
"Though I completely destroy all the nations
among which I scatter you,
I will not completely destroy you.
I will discipline you but only with justice;
I will not let you go entirely unpunished."
*this is just the part that really touched me*
lessons learned:
often times, we are forewarned about the punishments that we may receive because of the unduly commitment of mistakes that saddens aour father. he has been telling us: "this is wrong. stop it." but again, often times, we ignore it and continue with the unreasonable commitment of due sins. reasons may vary. sometimes we would even try to justify, but still, the end justifies the means. no matter how pleasurable our actions are, how hard it is to stop, how important it is to understand the need to end such improper actions, we still have to confess our sins to the lord, offer ourselves completely to him and let him inervene with our lives.
for he knows us.
will understand us.
will probably send something bitter along the way to help us understand the repercussions of our actions but surely it is the prerogative of the lord to save us and help us change and give us the chance to join him in our kingdom.
for the sins we are commiting, ask forgiveness and change.
for he is a loving and understanding father, forgiveness is just a prayer away.

because my daily devotional talks about SINS
i have decided to list down my sins.
confess them.
and make plans on how to stop it.
1) i always think about stealing, but when the thought starts in me, i mislead my mind and remind myself that IT IS WRONG. but,, i dunno. just thinking about it is a sin per se right?
2) i am very short tempered. i easily snaps, shouts or give grimace
3) i dont pray before and after eating. plus i dont wash my hands before eating (FYI: not washing your hands before eating is a sin. well, the bible says that it's a sign of disrespect for the food and blessings god has given us.)
4) i dont go to mass every sunday
5) i get bored before i read the bible. (thank god that once ive had the hang of it, i enjoy it =P)
6) i watch adult lusty movies. *oops* its all over the net, tv, dvd, CELLPHONES! gosh
7) i smoke
8) i drink...... and get drunk
9) i do premarital sex
10) i curse
11) i lie
12) i say bad things about people
13) i please myself
14) i cheat
15) i am selfish
okay,,,,,,,,,,,
that was a lot
LOL
i may give an impression that i am a very godly, super religious overly righteous type of person.
well i am not.
i am just another ordinary girl commiting sins and making the lord sad.
i want to change.
and i will.
for the lord will help me.
he will intervene.
and he will be with me.

today, my daiyly devotional was from
Jeremiah 37-39
it was the story about the fall of jerusalem over the babylonians.
it was emphasized there that the jews were warned my the prophet jeremiah, speaking in behalf of the Lord.
the King did not listen to him bec of certain hesitations and fear regardless of the assurance given by jeremiah.
ending: FALL of Jerusalem.
I LEARNED:
well, for one, i did learn that LISTENING doesnt hurt. =)
second, faith to the Lord allows you to listen well.
without faith, you will disregard his words, be numb from his love and ignore all the blessings instored for us
the lord may bring downfall to those who disobeys him, ignores his words and show no consideration for the love he have for us. he brings wrath, tears, heart aches. he does this not because he's beginning to hate us or he's already abandones us. he does this because he loves us. he wants us to wake up and see the sins we have been commiting. he wants us to know that there is a better life awaiting us. after the wrath, when all lessons are learned, he will bring us back to prosperity, often times, with a better life instored for us.
each of us may sin from time to time.
but ask for the intervntion of th lord so you can change.
do not wait for the wrath to come.
enjoy the kingdom of god as long as it lasts.
for it is only to those who listens and loves him.
pray.
talk to him.
seek guidance from him.
for he can change your life 360 degrees.

1) he answered my weary heart
just last night, i was so sick hearted because of the situation between me and my partner. before i went to sleep, i prayed to him... "Lord, please take over." this morning, as i was reading my bible i stumbled on a verse which was like "BOOM" saying "anak, this is your answer." right that very instant, it's as if all my troubles went away.
2) he answered my weary mind
i was so dumb founded when my dean asked me if i would like to take 2 major subjects this semester. it was a one of a kind offer bec it isnt really offered that way. i wanted to grab it so much bec i really do want to finish my degree ASAP. but all the consequences have been bothering me. then again i prayed "Lord, kayo na po bahala". i almost said yes bec of my extreme eagerness. lunchbreak barred my enrollment so i had to go home for a while. after lunch i fell asleep. as soon as i woke up, it's as if this great realization came to me. again it's like "BOOM! anak, this is your answer". i realized that taking the 2 major subjects would compromise my grades, waste my money and depress me all the more. i didnt enrolled thesis writing.
3) he answered the weary ME
tongiht, my half brother texted me "Ate, i need 9k on the 15th for my tuition fee" i dont have money. i wont be expecting financial resources up until the 30th. again i prayed "Lord, please take over". after like 15 minutes my brother texted me "Ate, pwede pa pala sa 30"
WOW...... i am truly amazed on how the Lord interved and blessed me today. some may think it's very simple, but i am overwhelmed with the simplicity of it. i asked, he answered. very simple. but it's my daily miracle. and for that, i feel truly blessed.

DAILY REFLECTION:
MAT 7:24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them
into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
-I, for one, am very guilty of not being the perfect sample of a true christian.
i do bad things,
though i ask for forgiveness, there are still instances when i opt to repeat it.
this verse is telling us that we should hold unto the word of god.
not just when we are asking for something, but all the time.
we need to correct our wrong deeds and put into practice the word of the Lord.
I have lots and lots of debts and shortcomings to the Lord.
And i really would like to change.
so for now, let me start by doing this.
I will be doing daily devotionals from now on. even a verse a day will be okay.
it will be my daily food.
my utmost sincerest guide.
My ultimate source of wisdom. I will now pray often, to start of, pray upon waking up,
before sleeping. before and after meals.
Little by little i know i would change. i will try to build a better fruitful relationship
with the Lord.
8:13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you
believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour.
-wow. a story of miracle, yes. but i believe it is more of a statement for faith.
that is a very nice statement: it will be done just as you believed it would.
just have faith in the mighty power of the Lord. believe that he can do everything.
trust that he will give your heart's desire in his own time, own way. just never
ever let go of that faith. sometimes, you are gonna have to wait. but regardless of
the time, god just wants to see if you will lose focus and let go of him.
just believe. pray for it. believe it will be yours. and trust that God will provide.
READING PLAN:
Jeremiah 32-33, Hebrews 1(New International Version)
Jeremiah 32
Jeremiah Buys a Field
1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year
of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of
Nebuchadnezzar. 2 The army of the king of
Babylon was then besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was
confined in the courtyard of the guard in the royal palace of Judah.
3 Now Zedekiah king of Judah had imprisoned him there, saying, "Why do
you prophesy as you do? You say, 'This is what the LORD says: I am
about to hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will
capture it. 4 Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape out of the hands of the Babylonians [a] but will certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes. 5 He will take Zedekiah to Babylon, where he will remain until I deal
with him, declares the LORD. If you fight against the Babylonians, you
will not succeed.' "
6 Jeremiah said, "The word of the LORD came to me: 7 Hanamel son of Shallum your uncle is going to come to you and say, 'Buy
my field at Anathoth, because as nearest relative it is your right and
duty to buy it.'
8 "Then, just
as the LORD had said, my cousin Hanamel came to me in the courtyard of
the guard and said, 'Buy my field at Anathoth in the territory of
Benjamin. Since it is your right to redeem it and possess it, buy it
for yourself.'
"I knew that this was the word of the LORD; 9 so I bought the field at Anathoth from my cousin Hanamel and weighed out for him seventeen shekels [b] of silver. 10 I signed and sealed the deed, had it witnessed, and weighed out the silver on the scales. 11 I took the deed of purchase—the sealed copy containing the terms and conditions, as well as the unsealed copy- 12 and I gave this deed to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in
the presence of my cousin Hanamel and of the witnesses who had signed
the deed and of all the Jews sitting in the courtyard of the guard.
13 "In their presence I gave Baruch these instructions: 14 'This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Take these
documents, both the sealed and unsealed copies of the deed of purchase,
and put them in a clay jar so they will last a long time. 15 For this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Houses, fields and vineyards will again be bought in this land.'
16 "After I had given the deed of purchase to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD :
17 "Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your
great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. 18 You show love to thousands but bring the punishment for the fathers'
sins into the laps of their children after them. O great and powerful
God, whose name is the LORD Almighty, 19 great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open
to all the ways of men; you reward everyone according to his conduct
and as his deeds deserve. 20 You
performed miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt and have continued them
to this day, both in Israel and among all mankind, and have gained the
renown that is still yours. 21 You
brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, by a
mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror. 22 You gave them this land you had sworn to give their forefathers, a land flowing with milk and honey. 23 They came in and took possession of it, but they did not obey you or
follow your law; they did not do what you commanded them to do. So you
brought all this disaster upon them.
24 "See how the siege ramps are built up to take the city. Because of the
sword, famine and plague, the city will be handed over to the
Babylonians who are attacking it. What you said has happened, as you
now see. 25 And though the city will be
handed over to the Babylonians, you, O Sovereign LORD, say to me, 'Buy
the field with silver and have the transaction witnessed.' "
26 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: 27 "I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? 28 Therefore, this is what the LORD says: I am about to hand this city
over to the Babylonians and to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who will
capture it. 29 The Babylonians who are
attacking this city will come in and set it on fire; they will burn it
down, along with the houses where the people provoked me to anger by
burning incense on the roofs to Baal and by pouring out drink offerings
to other gods.
30 "The people
of Israel and Judah have done nothing but evil in my sight from their
youth; indeed, the people of Israel have done nothing but provoke me
with what their hands have made, declares the LORD. 31 From the day it was built until now, this city has so aroused my anger and wrath that I must remove it from my sight. 32 The people of Israel and Judah have provoked me by all the evil they
have done—they, their kings and officials, their priests and prophets,
the men of Judah and the people of Jerusalem. 33 They turned their backs to me and not their faces; though I taught them
again and again, they would not listen or respond to discipline. 34 They set up their abominable idols in the house that bears my Name and defiled it. 35 They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters [c] to Molech, though I never commanded, nor did it enter my mind, that
they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.
36 "You are saying about this city, 'By the sword, famine and plague it
will be handed over to the king of Babylon'; but this is what the LORD,
the God of Israel, says: 37 I will surely
gather them from all the lands where I banish them in my furious anger
and great wrath; I will bring them back to this place and let them live
in safety. 38 They will be my people, and I will be their God. 39 I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will
always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after
them. 40 I will make an everlasting
covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will
inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me. 41 I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.
42 "This is what the LORD says: As I have brought all this great calamity
on this people, so I will give them all the prosperity I have promised
them. 43 Once more fields will be bought
in this land of which you say, 'It is a desolate waste, without men or
animals, for it has been handed over to the Babylonians.' 44 Fields will be bought for silver, and deeds will be signed, sealed and
witnessed in the territory of Benjamin, in the villages around
Jerusalem, in the towns of Judah and in the towns of the hill country,
of the western foothills and of the Negev, because I will restore their
fortunes, [d] declares the LORD."
Jeremiah 33
Promise of Restoration
1 While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, the word of the LORD came to him a second time: 2 "This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it—the LORD is his name: 3 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' 4 For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says about the houses in
this city and the royal palaces of Judah that have been torn down to be
used against the siege ramps and the sword 5 in the fight with the Babylonians [e] : 'They will be filled with the dead bodies of the men I will slay in
my anger and wrath. I will hide my face from this city because of all
its wickedness.
6 "
'Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my
people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. 7 I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity [f] and will rebuild them as they were before. 8 I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me. 9 Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all
nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they
will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I
provide for it.'
10 "This is
what the LORD says: 'You say about this place, "It is a desolate waste,
without men or animals." Yet in the towns of Judah and the streets of
Jerusalem that are deserted, inhabited by neither men nor animals,
there will be heard once more 11 the
sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the
voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the LORD,
saying,
"Give thanks to the LORD Almighty,
for the LORD is good;
his love endures forever."
For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,' says the LORD.
12 "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'In this place, desolate and
without men or animals—in all its towns there will again be pastures
for shepherds to rest their flocks. 13 In
the towns of the hill country, of the western foothills and of the
Negev, in the territory of Benjamin, in the villages around Jerusalem
and in the towns of Judah, flocks will again pass under the hand of the
one who counts them,' says the LORD.
14 " 'The days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when I will fulfill the
gracious promise I made to the house of Israel and to the house of
Judah.
15 " 'In those days and at that time
I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David's line;
he will do what is just and right in the land.
16 In those days Judah will be saved
and Jerusalem will live in safety.
This is the name by which it [g] will be called:
The LORD Our Righteousness.'
17 For this is what the LORD says: 'David will never fail to have a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel, 18 nor will the priests, who are Levites, ever fail to have a man to stand
before me continually to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings
and to present sacrifices.' "
19 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: 20 "This is what the LORD says: 'If you can break my covenant with the day
and my covenant with the night, so that day and night no longer come at
their appointed time, 21 then my covenant
with David my servant—and my covenant with the Levites who are priests
ministering before me—can be broken and David will no longer have a
descendant to reign on his throne. 22 I
will make the descendants of David my servant and the Levites who
minister before me as countless as the stars of the sky and as
measureless as the sand on the seashore.' "
23 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: 24 "Have you not noticed that these people are saying, 'The LORD has rejected the two kingdoms [h] he chose'? So they despise my people and no longer regard them as a nation. 25 This is what the LORD says: 'If I have not established my covenant with day and night and the fixed laws of heaven and earth, 26 then I will reject the descendants of Jacob and David my servant and
will not choose one of his sons to rule over the descendants of
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes [i] and have compassion on them.' "
Hebrews 1
The Son Superior to Angels
1In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but
in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed
heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. 3The
Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his
being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had
provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the
Majesty in heaven. 4So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
5For to which of the angels did God ever say,
"You are my Son;
today I have become your Father[a]"[b]? Or again,
"I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son"[c]? 6And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
"Let all God's angels worship him."[d] 7In speaking of the angels he says,
"He makes his angels winds,
his servants flames of fire."[e] 8But about the Son he says,
"Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever,
and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.
9You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy."[f] 10He also says,
"In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
12You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end."[g] 13To which of the angels did God ever say,
"Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet"[h]? 14Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
